The
Alabama Auctioneers Association was formed in 1979 and is a
strong association of professionals who have organized to promote
and advance the auction profession. Their goal was, and remains, to
unite the auctioneers, provide education and monitor legislation
affecting the auction industry, with the desire that the buyer and
seller would be better served.
Since the inception
of the AAA, it has sought to establish and continually improve the
standard of education, ethics and performance of its members. The
AAA is working to serve you.
The Annual Convention is held in June of each year.
This two+ day meeting provides educational opportunities
for new and experienced auctioneers alike. Several
contests are held including the Hall of Fame and the advertising contest. The ad contest allows
members to be recognized for their creativity
and professional image. Everyone looks forward
to the FUN AUCTION which includes the Alabama
Grand Champion Auctioneer contest and the Rookie
of the Year contest. The convention also provides
required continuing education credits.
The Winter seminar is another opportunity for
education and networking with other auctioneers.
Various Topics will be discussed which will provide
continuing education credits.
The Alabama Auctioneer is the official publication
of the Alabama Auctioneers Association and is
published quarterly. This is an information source
for the association, containing valuable information
to members such as association activities, meeting
dates, current issues and much more.
The annual directory is published in March/April
each year and lists all current members of the
AAA. This is an invaluable tool for familiarizing
yourself with members in your area and location
those much needed support personnel.
